hi, I have finally got around to finishing off a bit more of the extended Courtoy tree, and have uploaded it onto www.rootsweb.com the most ancient man in the tree is Edme JACQUINET so a search for him will find you in the early 1600s. The Gedcom is downloadable, I used Brothers Keeper to create it, and have not included the 'messages' and the living. I am happy to be contacted and would appreciate any information to complete the McDonald and Bowman families as the new cousins have yet to send me anything. The cd is almost burnable, as most of the documents from London PRO have been transcribed. I am happy to take names and addresses and will share it out when I have finished it. Surnames in England include PAXMAN, GRAFTON, MEREDITH, BLANKS, LANE, FLITT WILLIAMS, HITCHCOCK,CATTON, DERRIENNIC, RIANDEY, GODSON, TENNYSON-D'EYNCOURT, ELMORE, BROUGHTON, PETERS, CREECH, and includes connections to PETERSDORFF, DRUMMONDS BANK, ANTIGUA/ESHER - Williams, COOPER - London Stock Exchange and many more. Would love to find information on Masonic members, late 16th century.. Surnames in South Australia HAYNES, GREY, COMBE, GERMAIN, McAULAY, TREWAVAS, JERKINS then branches out to the next generations - TRUMBULL, PUCKRIDGE, MORGAN,OSBORNE, and many more. Queensland/NSW Surnames are BEASLEY PFAFF BACK COURTOY McCLURE WALKER KAIN CAIRNS COCHRANE GREGORY SPINAZE and branches In USA Surnames - HAMEN, MOREE, McDONALD, SWILLEY, BOWMAN, MELTON, STANDLEY, to offer only a very few from the descendants of Ernest Courtoy and Zila Hamen, who settled in Worth County, Georgia. COURTOY was an alias name, so if you have a connection and you cant find origins, then you probably need to see what I have, and chances are you will also belong.
