Hannah Courtoy aka Peters (the lady in the crypt at Brompton Park, with her two spinster daughters) left 10,000 pounds in 1848 - I have her will.

George COURTOY was a hard heart - lived 27 Hamilton Tce St Johns Wood, died and I have his will

His wife was Mary nee Creech - and he diddled her - I have her will too

and my favourite is aunt Louisa Courtoy, sister of Jno Joseph William Meserat Courtoy died in 1852 left her estate to Frederick Courtoy (one of the twins) and Louisa Lane (got a married name for our Louisa) Elizabeth Blanks which confirms what I already thought and Mary Ann Hiscock, second wife of George the sailor who came to Australia twice. (perhaps nephew of George the hard heart)

happy to share, lots of questions still though - WHO WAS JOHN COURTOY OF LONDON - was he a grocer/merchant or was he somebody else, I cant find him at all, he was probably born 1740-60 - his eldest son was (i think) born 1777.
