David, I have been recieving your email updates and have invited you to join in on the discussion at the "Jesse James Discussion Site".

I know Phil Stewart personally and respect his knowledge of James history above anyone else I know of. If he remained silent all this time it is because the issue didn't warrant his attention. It is, to me, a non-issue.

Jesse was killed in 1882 and the 1995 exhumation proved it. The reason I opposed the new exhumation is the very reason I opposed the 1995 Kearney exhumation. No matter what is said or determined, those that want to hear different will dispute the findings and it will go on and on and on.

The "conspiracy" theories don't hold water because there would be no reason to hide the fact if Jesse had pulled one last getaway. The James Farm in Kearney will always be the place where most of Jesse's big events took place and the grave site makes no money whatsoever on Jesse being there. In fact most tourist can't even find the grave unless someone points it out to them. So I see no reason for a cover-up.

You have an informative site but the James Courtney-Jesse James link just does not ring true. I hope Ms. Duke finds peace in this matter, but the fact that her grandfather signed the name "Jesse James" in his diary once does not make him Jesse James. I have seen the book and I don't catch the resemblence, in fact, the infamous J. Frank Dalton had more in likeness with the real Jesse than Mr. Courtney.

The biggest reason I know Jesse was killed in St. Joe, 1882 is this...No way does Jesse James abandon his wife and kids and go live in Texas. Jesse was many things bad, but he was a very loyal husband and family man. Wherever he moved Zee & the kids went with him. And even Harry S Truman placed Jesse Jr. in KC, Mo at the turn of the century.

Good luck and, once again, stop by the Jesse James site when you can. We'd love to have you taking part in the discussion.
