David, just one quick question before I finish packing. You have said that the marriage of Jesse James' half sister gave a genealogical link to the Courtney family, since this half-sister's mother-in-law was Rebecca Courtney. I did find a record of a marriage between Rebecca Courtney and George Hale in 1845, but there was no record of the brides parents, and there is no Rebecca mentioned in the records I have found on the Courtney's of Clay County. Do you have any further information on this? There is no George Hale and wife Rebecca on the Missouri census for 1850,1860 or 1870, and there is no record of a marriage between a female with the surname of Samuel and a male with the surname Hale in Clay County. Do you know where they (the Hales) lived after they were married? If you can give me more information, I'll research this when I get back home.

Kathy
