I intended to include this in yesterdays post - better late than never, I guess.
In your post on July 25, David, you said.."Looking for these family connections. Were Archibald Clinton Courtney of Clay County, MO and Stephen Courtney of Johnson Co MO related? If so, how? Also were either A.C. or Stephen related to the Maret family in any way?" But David, in her book, Mrs Duke claims that there was a close connection between the Clay County Courtneys and the Stephen Courtney family in Johnson County. Isn't this so-called close connection the cornerstone of her book? I have been researching the Clay County Courtneys, still a few loose ends but will post my findings here when I return.
