I hope know that my #3 response was "tongue and cheek". Seriously, there are others and myself who really would like to see specifics from James historians as to why they think Betty is in error.
Just a note. I have done research myself. Sometimes newspaper accounts are no more accurate than what you read today. Jesse was known for deception and for him to fake his death is not out of the question.
