Do you know if either of the James Courtney's you listed had a son named Duncan, he was born 12-8-1808. 1808 shows on the 1850, 1860 & 1870 census. But my grandmother had he was born 1814, also my Dad's cousin had him born 1814. so not real sure on his birthdate. He was born in Harrison Co, KY. Married Dec. 25th, 1831 in Harrison Co., KY. to Mary or Polly Gordon. I think they were in Gallatin Co., KY. by around 1833, that's where they show their children being born.
I've been trying to find his parents for some time now.
