Shortsleeve is not Blackfoot Indian. The name Courtemanche is originally from France. Antoine Courtemanche immigrated to New-France (Montreal to be more exact) in 1659. Later, some of Antoine’s decendants immigrated down to the USA. Some of them changed their name to Shortsleeve (an exact translation of Courtemanche). Visit www.total.net/~mcourt for more info.
