Edgard William Peter Court from Ropley in Hampshire, son of Maurice and Leah Adlam Court, was 28 years old when on October 9,1943 his plane crashed in our village of Stekene. He was Flight Lieutenant in a Mosquito, flying together with Jack Sands. They both died in the crash. They are buried in the Cemetery of Schoonselhof in Antwerp.
