Could anyone tell me who the George Courts was in the 1790 census under St. Mary's Co. MD? He is listed with 2 white females.
I had thought that this was George Washington Courts son of Robert Henley Courts and Elizabeth Ridings, but he doesn't quite seem to fit and may even have been in VA by 1790.
If the George Courts in the record is not the above George, perhaps he is my George Courts who was supposed to have been born in MD. My George Courts was m.1 to Teresa Bennett and was living in Mason Co. KY ca 1800, moved to Brown Co. OH ca 1805 where Teresa died and George married Polly Davies (could have been Divers). George died in Brown Co. OH in 1845.
