Thanks for your message and info.Like you i can find no trace of henry---wonder if he emigrated too?
Edward on the 1851 census is in the household of James Bearsley and his wife Eliza.James Bearsley m. Eliza Courts 15 April 1850.Eliza is edwards mother ( Edward illegit) and is a witness on Edwards m. cert.(1851 his name is spelt COATS and he is down as son-in-law instead of step son)
1854 Edward is bp. and his parents are given as James and Eliza Coates. ( which makes me think henry is now out of the picture completley.

1861 Edward is m. and living next door to the Bearsleys.
Must get my files up to date!!
