How was John MORGAN (d. 1668) a brother-in-law of William Coursey?? Morgan, John, 16th Oct., 1667; 30th May, 1668. To Simon Carpenter, Christopher Barnes, personalty. Only dau. Eliza: Morgan, execx. and residuary legatee. Brother-in-law William Coursey, overseer, and guardian of said dau. Test: Wm. Hemsley, Robert Kent. [Maryland Calendar of Wills, Vol. I 1635-1685 (within) pp. 55-68. Orig. Comp. Jane Baldwin (1904); Ed., Ann. by USGenNet Patrons Rhoda Fone & Carole Hammett (2001)] Simon Carpenter's wife was Elizabeth Jones (dau of William Jones of Hungars parish, Accomack-Northampton Co., VA), who married second, William Coursey's brother, Col. Henry Coursey. In his 1669 will, William Jones mentions "grandchildren now belonging to Michael Ricketts" and "two grandchildren belonging to Anthony Hodgkins dec'd." But the MORGAN connection is eluding me. Thanks very much, Liz J Notify Administrator about this message?
