Hi,
Your posts are very interesting to us. We have a family tradition that says that when William Jasper Coursey's mother heard that her husband (Tyree) had been killed, Jasper and his mother loaded up the wagon and went and brought his body home to be buried. The information online for the Battle of Franklin, where he was killed, says that most of the field officers were taken home so that leads us to believe our "tradition". This story has been handed down in the family thru Jaspers son Edward Norman to his son Henry who is still living and now to us. You mention that you are looking for his grave. We would be interested in anything you might find. We have only recently found the connection between Jasper and Tyree.
Barb
