Coursey's of SC

I have definite Coursey roots in Old Edgefield Co., SC back to 1839 when my gg-grandfather John Franklin coursey was born. He married Lina Dean in 1862 and died in 1912. I have his descendants in detail through most of his children.

I am trying to connect him to the right family in the Edgefield Co census data to find his parents. In 1850, there is a John of right age in family of Will Coursey. In 1850, he is found in the family of Newell Coursey. In 184o, a Ewell Coursey has a son of the right age to be John. In the 1850 and 1860 census the other family members are the same, with additional ones listed in 1860. I have found a Ewell Coursey, Elizabeth and John Coursey who left Little Stephens Creek church ca 1855.

Can anyone give me more information on the Coursey's of the earlier generation in SC b ca 1810s which might help me clarify this family puzzle?

I am most willing to share any of the data that I have on any Courseys. Just send a query to me direct. Most of my info is from Old Edgefield Dist which now consists of Aiken Co, Saluda Co., Greenwood Co., McCormick Co., and Edgefield Co. I do have information on some of the families who moved west into Ga. and Al. as well, if they connect to a Edgefield Co. family.
