Hi Lynn,
Sorry I am so tardy in replying, but I just returned home this evening from a trip to Alaska. The book I wrote in 1978, and since that time I have followed up with more research. My James Coursey/Corse was a brother to Col. Henry Coursey of the Eastern Shore in Maryland. He became a Quaker in the late 1600's and dropped the 'u' and the 'y' and took the name of Corse. He was left land on the Eastern Shore from his brother John Coursey and later sold it. He later came to America and I believe that is when he became a Quaker. The name of my book is THE CORSE FAMILY and can be obtained by interlibrary loan on microfilm from the LDS in Salt Lake City. I privately published the book and only had 100 printed, mostly for family members. I have been out of books for many years as I wrote it in 1978. My Mother's maiden name was Corse. Thank you for your inquiry and good hunting.
Betty Craig, Austin, TExas
