Hello Lorraine, I managed to go to State Records of South Australia yesterday and found reference to Jessie's death in Police reports to the coroner as follows: On 20 March 1917 Sgt Mullins of the City Watch House reported that at 9am Superintendent Lind of the Parkside Mental Hospital reported per memo that Jessie Beattie aged 32 years who had been admitted to the hospital on the 16 Nov 1916, died therein on the 17 March 1917 and that the apparent cause of death was Melancholia, exhaustion and septicaemia. That is all that was said. If you would like anything more let me know.

Regards, Rosilyn
