Thanks very much for your response and sorry for delay in replying.

I've had a look at your web page and found it very interesting.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a connection to my Coulter family. There certainly seems to have been quite a few Coulter families in and around Ballymena and who knows, there may be a connection somewhere in the more distant past.

My Gt Grandfather was a weaver so there is the textile connection and coincidently my grandfather was a John William Coulter and was born only a year before your grandfather.

Perhaps a visit to the area will be the only way of unlocking the past - it's just a pity I didn't start my research during the 12 years I lived in N Ireland.

I will keep a note of your details - JUST IN CASE !
