This family is a mystery. The different sources are not certain if the grooms last name is COLLAR or COLTAR. They are not to be found in the 1880 census at the LDS site.
Further, Felix Negley has Mary dieing in 1882, but the second child is not born until abt 1883. There is a problem there.

If the birth and marriage dates are correct, it would seem that Alfred was 22 when he married the 13 year old Martha. Not unknown, of course, but a bit unusual. And, again, if the dates are correct, the couple didnot have any children for the 8 years of married life.
But who are Alfred's step-children in the 1920 census? Jarres R. Wherry, a 14 year old female; and Orvill S. Wherry, an 11 year old boy. Their ages overlapp with the children of Alfred and Martha.
