Hi Eleanor...Nice hearing from you. Hearing from a Coulter makes my day.I am in Geneva visiting our youngest son and family - my reason for this slow email.
I have James Coulter's running out of my ears.I'm trying to find a place to land them.My Blood line immigrated from County Cavan to Canada in 1834.Our research found 5 other Coulter families living on the same Townlands in Cavan, Ireland, owned by the same Col. Clements.I have named these "My Coulter Uncles".These Uncles are the object of my present efforts.
However, I have a penpal in Cavan,Ireland who is looking for his James Coulter from County Down. But all he has is a name and a few family stories. Do you know whereyour Coulter's lived and immigrated from?
I'm an old devil, but I will be visiting Dublin shortly where I hope to tie my line to Thomas Coulter, who was in the Hamilton Plantation of 1610 from Scotland to Ireland.
I would be happy to keep my eyes open for your family, but will need more than just a name from you. What do you know about your line?
My best regards,
Art Coulter
