Do you have any idea when and where Sarah was born and more information about her family? I have Isaiah Colter (Coulter) in Washington Co., KY b. abt 1778 NC, d. aft 1860 Washington Co., KY. There seem to be two other Coulters in Washington Co. during this same time period: Martha Coulter (d/o Thomas and Jemima accordin to Elvin E. Farris, Farris Family GenForum)who was the wife of Elijah Farris and Louisa Coulter, wife of Moses Farris. On the Farris Family Genealogy Forum there is a posting which includes this information:
"26 Mar 1814 Washington Co. KY: boundary in deed between Isaiah Coulter & Turner Smith 122 acres in, Washington Co."
One of Elijah and Martha's children was named Spencer--which seems to be a common name in the Coulter family. Other sons are Isaiah and Thomas, also names in Isaiah's family.
