Although I'm not related, the Peter COULL born about 1782 Rathven, Banffshire married Margaret REID 3 April 1812 in Rathven and had children born there until at least 1833. Thus, I don't think this is the Peter COUL who married the Jane COCHRANE in 1810.

However, your search within Banffshire/ Aberdeenshire for Peter COUL is likely correct. The given name Peter (or Patrick) was far more common among the NE Scotland COULLs than it was within the other very large group of COULLs originating in Craig parish just south of Montrose.
