Guillaume Couillard is the name of a sailor, carpenter, caulker who was one of the first settlers in Canada. His birth (@1591) is confused between Paris (St. Landry) and St. Malo in Bretagne [possibly because of the birthplace/ship departure place recording styles]. Quebec records indicate that he died on 4 MAR 1663 in Québec with a burial on 5 MAR 1663. He was the first Canadian settler to use a mouldboard plow.
