Bonjour Debbie,
I have a photo of the monument of Guillaume Couillard in Quebec city. It's a photo taken by myself in 1982 with my wife and my two children at the side of our ancestor.
It's a monument consecrated at first to Louis Hebert, and to the first valorous resident of Quebec.
The inscription on the monument indicates the dates 1613-1663 (1613 the year of his arrival in Quebec, instead of his birth); I don't know why.
Guillaume Couillard was ennobled by the king of France in 1654 for usefull service to the country.
