St Landry was the name of the main port
of Paris, on the Ile de la Cite, near Notre Dame. This area along the main branch of the Seine is now the 'Quai aux Fleurs' (There is still a permanent picturesque flower market).

Is it possible that St-Landry port was the place were your ancestors took a river ship that would have lead them down the Seine to Rouen or Le Havre before crossing the Atlantic on a larger ship.(Going down the Seine was the most logical way to go from Paris to North America.)

Were your ancestors really from the Paris
area, or was Paris just a step of their trip?
