I am researching the ancestors of Michael J. and Mary Catherine (DRISCOLL) COUGHLIN of Co. Cork, IRE and New London Co., CT in the 1800s. Jun 1845, d. 15 Mar 1923, Franklin, CT, m1. 28 Feb. 1875, Lebanon, CT, Kate COLLINS, m2 ca 1884 , CT, Elizabeth "Lizzie" HURLEY; Timothy J., b. Sep 1851, Co. Cork, IRE; d. 20 Jun 1915, Fitchville, CT, m. Jane A. MAHONEY, b. Apr 1858, IRE; d. 28 Jul 1923, New Haven, CT; Katherine (Kate), b. ca 1855, d. aft 1837, San Francisco, CA, m. ca 1894, CA, William DAVIS, b. ca 1860, SWE, d. ca 1935, San Francisco, CA.
Jane came to the U.S. ca 1870, poss. from Co. Cork, IRE. She married Timothy J. COUGHLIN of Lebanon, CT ca 1875. They were the parents of 12 children: Mary Jane; Michael; Ellen L. or T.; Daniel J.; John Dennis; Elizabeth F.; Ella; Katherine Agnes; Timothy Joseph, Jr.; Mabelle; Adeline Ann; and an unnamed male. On her d. c. her parents are listed as Cain and Ellen (DRISCOLL) MAHONEY of IRE. The parents of her husband, Timothy, were Michael J. and Mary Catherine (DRISCOL) COUGHLIN of Co. Cork, IRE and Lebanon, CT. Nothing more is known about Timothy and Jane's ancestors or any of her siblings. Any information about the COUGHLINS and DRISCOLLS, their spouses and ancestors, particularly Cain and Ellen's family, is appreciated.
