I found a book at the library which has information on the Couch family of Allegheny County, PA which I wanted to share with the forum. The book is: Cushing, Dr. Thomas (ed.), "A Genealogy and Biographical History of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania"; Genealogy Publishing Company, Inc., Baltimore, 1975.

Here's the line featured - Nathaniel Couch, son Joseph Couch, William Couch m. Elizabeth Whitmore; Simon Couch (2nd Son of 12 children of William and Elizabeth); Joseph Couch, b. 1831 m. Sarah, dau. of John Rankin.

I descended from Nathaniel, but on this line - 1.Nathaniel, 2. Benjamin, 3.Sarah Elizabeth, b. 1794/1795, Allegheny Co., PA; m. Joseph Mitchell Garvin abt. 1814; d. between 1860-65, Apollo, Allegheny, PA.

I don't have a copy of the book, but it may be available via Gen. Pub. Co., Baltimore, or at larger city libraries.
