Where did your Mary Cottrill and Lovalla Walls go? I doubt very seriously that she was "full-blooded Cherokee Indian" There were three Cotrells that married into the Walls family in Pike County, OH. Mary C. Cotrell m. Lovalla Walls on 31 Dec 1876 Sallie E. Cottrell m. W.J. Walls on 8 Dec 1887 Albert T. Cotterel m. Clara Walls on 9 Sep 1886 Mary C. Cotrell was bca 1859 to James M. Cotrell and Ann Elizabeth Bond on 17 Dec 1857 in Pike County, OH. James M. Cotrell was the son of James M. Cotrell, Sr. and Mary Carter and they were married in Bedford County, VA on 8 Dec 1824. Sallie or Sarah E. Cottrell was Mary C. Cotrell's sister and Albert Cotterel a 1st cousin to Sallie and Mary and a son of Charles H. Cotrell. According to some, James M. Cotrell, Sr was a son of James and Susan Cotteral. James Cotteral is my ancestor and though I believe James M. Cotrell might have been his son, I have no definetive proof, such as a will or bible record. As far as I can tell, there is no Indian blood in this family, but I could be incorrect. Where does the "full-blooded" indian come from?
