My great grandfather, Thomas Cotterell was born in Shropshire, England in 1817, came to the U.S. between 1840 and 1850, married --- Scott. Had daughters, Jessie, Edith {my grandmother}and eleven other children. Thomas died in Brooklyn in Jan 1894. His widow died, also in Brooklyn, on May 20, 1933. Thomas Cotterell was in the tailering business in Brooklyn during the mid 1800's. Do not have date of birth of Edith but she was a member of the Twelth St Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn in the 1880's. Looking for any links to the Cotterells or Cottrell's in Brooklyn circa 1850-1900.
