This family is not part of my direct line but thought I should share it with you. They are related (cousins) to my family. This is from a family Bible Record and it is available at the Library of VA.
Memorandom of the marriage of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife. Samuel Cottrell married Sally Warrock Shepherd October 19th, 1816.

31st, 1821.
Sarah A. Cottrell daughter of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born the 9th day of
November, 1824.
Mary Elizabeth Cottrell daughter of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born the 16th
day of August, 1826.
Richard Shepherd Cottrell son of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born March the
15th, 1828.
Eleanor Warrick Cottrell daughter of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born the
10th of Feburary, 1831.
Robert Shepherd Cottrell son of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born the 9th day
of May, 1832.
Virginia W Cottrell daughter of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born the 22nd day
of April, 1833.
Mariah Louisa Cottrell daughter of Samuel Cottrell and Sally his wife was born the the
12th day of Janurary, 1838.

Mariah Louisa Cottrell departed this life August the 7th, 1838
Sally W. Cottrell wife of Samuel Cottrell died April 23rd, 1855
Samuel Cottrell died July 14th, 1855
