Is your Lemuel from Greene County, Ohio ?
If so he may be related to John Lemuel Cottrell who m. Catharine Reeves d/o Asher Reeves and Diana Miller per a fellow COTTRELL family researcher. Unfortunately she recently passed away.
Another researcher gave Lemuel Cottrell m. Fanny Ogan and Thomas Cottrell m. Susanna Ogan bothe in Greene Co. Ohio.
Both Lemuel and Thomas along with a Charles and Hyram appear on the 1820 Census for Greene County, Ohio.
There is a Lemuel Marshall Cottrill s/o Henderson and Barbara Greathouse Cottrill of Ross Co. Ohio but, Henderson is from WV.
NOTE: As of today I have found no ties to my Coterel Line and therefore the info I have on them is limited and given to me by others. I am collecting all Cottrell/Cottrill/Coterel family info that has ties to early Ohio, 1820 to 1830. It is the only way I can keep my line straight.
