I am looking for information on HAMPTON FONDREN, d Attala Co MS July 1843 leaving two
sons JAMES J & WILLIAM, no mention of a wife, I do not know who she was. (Could Hampton's wife's maiden name been Cottrell?) The 1850 census shows James and William living with C COTTRELL, 61 y/o female in Attala Co. Attala County Court records show STEPHEN J. FLANAGAN as their guardian in 1859. Anyone with knowledge of this family?
HAMPTON was son of JESSE and SARAH HESTER FONDREN, grandson of JOHN &
ELEANOR FONDREN, NC. Thank you for your help.
