I'm writing you because you said that some of your family think Cottrell in French. From my husband's grandma was a cottrell and was born in England. Below is all th e information I have on my husband's cottrell line

______________________________________________

I'm working on a family tree for my son. Don't have much to go on and need your help.

1. Michael Stephen Carr (husband)
2. Michael Mickey Carr (his dad)
Born:11 Sept 1913 Died: 24 Aug 1988
3. Sarah Jane Cottrell (husband's grandma)
Born: 17 Feb 1880 or 1881 in England
Died: 16 April 1954 Wheeling, West Virginia
Married: Stephen Carr 15 Sept 1900 in
England

Like I said I don't have much on my husbands Carr line, which is also the Cottrell line. However, I do know that Sarah Jane had at least 2 sisters. There names were FLORENCE and HILDA.

HILDA is where the Goode names comes. She married a Goode. According to a Carr cousin the Goode where from London, England. And some of them moved to Canada near Watauga Beach near Ontario. The cousin also said that Hilda was friends with Queen Elizabeth.

The only know fact about HILDA is she married a Goode. Some moved to Canada. The part with the Queen is a story past down don't know one way or the other.

Please Help
Julie Carr
