His first wife's name was Margaret L. Jennings, second wife was Mrs. M.
Caroline Duncan, but I don't know marriage dates. He had 2 sons, Joseph Jr.
and Charles, and two daughters, one living in Colorado at the time of his
death and another living in Cloverport KY whose name was Carrie (Mrs. George)
Short. At the time of his father's death Joseph Jr. was operating an orange
grove in Yajala, Florida with his stepbrother Harry Duncan.Joseph B.
Cottrell's son Charles was a photographer living in Russellville KY at the
time of his father's death but subsequently moved to Florida.

Joseph B. Cottrell died in Florida March 6, 1895 while visiting his son and
stepson. He was fishing in Lake Dora, had a sudden attack of some kind
(vertigo? epilepsy?), fell into the lake and drowned.According to his
obituary, his remains were to be interred in Russellville KY.

born in Florida in 1883 (so I assume her father was Joseph Jr.).If you have
or subsequently come across any information on her I would appreciate hearing
from you.Thanks!
