Hey cousins,
I too, believe it may have been Cockeral or some variation. I have over the past 5 years traced my particular line in West Virginia back to Northumberland Co., in VA. I and (a new found cousin) Jack Cottrell
got together a year ago to combine our data into a book form (148 pgs with index). This was completed right before Christmas last year. His family spells it Cottrell, mine spells it Cottrill,
so we weren't sure of the common bond, but we found it. I to have a copy of the family crest (spelled Cottrell)and the articles from the book of Family crest (i can't find at this moment). I would be glad to make available copies of our book for $15 each

Check my homepage at the Family Tree Maker users web site for a outline tree.

Well it's about time to go, see you later cousins.
