Jane, I have made two attemps to try to contact you via email without response.

I have info indicating that my great,great,great,great grandfather Samuel Cottrell b. 9/27/1763 is a decendant of Nicolas Cottrell from Newport & Westerly,RI.
Samuels father;(or) grandfather Samuel was b.
1688 he was son of John b. 1657 who was the son of Nicholas b. 1628 who married Martha.

In a letter my family received several years ago from a cousin; N.Clifford Cottrell, he states that Samuel b. 1763 moved to Hoosick Falls, NY from Westerly,RI in 1793.

Do you have any info about this? What info do you have so far about Nicholas?
