Hi Darel,
I just wanted to drop a note to thank you for the pleasure of reading and also learning new genealogy information from your various and sundry postings. I very much appreciate your careful analysis of various documents, books, etc. Indeed, very helpful regarding my own research. My Wilburn ancestors lived in Amherst Co VA, Giles, VA, and also lived in Highland, Co OH by c 1808. As you know the latter was first known as the 'Virginia Military District' settled by Rev War veterans or families who purchased the land deeds from said war veterans.
This is a very long and round about way of saying that I strongly suspect that I have Rose ancestors, who, IF? my theory is correct, are kin to your own Rose ancestors. And also share a consanguineous relationship with some of your other ancestors, as well.
Men named Wilburn Rose, Wilburn Cash are just a few hints that come to mind.
Again, many thanks for your terrifc research and also your thoughtful explainations accordingly.
