My grandmother was Amy Matilda Cottrell b. in Woodland, California. Her father was Norton Cottrell from New York.His father was Nathaniel Cottrell,his father was Nathan Cottrell, and his father was Samuel Cottrell.

I have an old letter written 1977 from N.Clifford Cottrell that indicates Samuel Cottrell & his wife; Huldah Southwick came from Westerly,Rhode Island in 1793 and settled on the West Hills from Hoosick.

Does anyone have info about this family?
