Jesse Reid (b.1803, Wake Co. NC), was the son of John Clement Read/Reid. Jesse Reid's first wife (my line) was Jennie/Jane Cottrell (d/o Mark Cottrell of Granville Co. NC and Elizabeth Strom/Strum). Jesse's second wife was Lucinda Minor, not buried here.
The story is that Jesse Reid gave land to this Quaker group and thus he is buried there--we are not Quakers.
