Hi Jude.

I haven't been active on Genealogy.com for some time. I'm descended directly from John Cottrell b. 1869 in Amherst, VA - who fathered Joshua Cottrell b.1801 in Wilkes Co., NC.

I'm sure this is the same line you are interested in. I have some conflicting information on your Sarah. Here are the two I have which may in fact be the same one:

Sarah Cottrell b.1796 in NC
John Cottrell b.1769 in Amherst, VA
Thomas Cottrell b.1735 in Henrico, VA
Thomas Cottrell b.1711 in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent, VA

OR

Sarah Cottrell b.????
John Cottrell b.1767 in VA
John Cottrell b.1743 in Deep Run, Henrico, VA
Thomas Cottrell b.1711 in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent, VA

This second line has Ferbia as a sister to Sarah so that matches your information.

I have much information on both lines. I would be interested in your information on this Sarah and John Flenniken as I have assumed she was from the first line and not the second.
