The Commonwealth of Virginia To the Sheriff of Bedford County Greeting We command you that you Summon John Cotterill to appear beofre our Justices of our Court of our said County at the Court House on the 4th Monday in next Month to Answer a Bill in Chancery exhibited against him by Robert Clark Junr & this he shall in now wise omit under the penalty of One Hundred pounds. Witness James Steptoe Clerk of Said Court at the Court House aforesaid The 25th day of Oct 1785 in the Tenth year of the Commonwealth. Ja. Steptoe
The Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Bedford County Greeting We command you that you attach John Cotterill so that you have his Body before our Justices of our Court of our said County in Chancery on the 4th Monday in this Month to answer us as well of a certain Contempt by him to us offered as it is said as upon those things which shall then & there be objected, & further to do and receive what our said Court shall in this part consider, & have then there this writ witness Ja Steptoe Clerk of our said Court at the Court House the 1st day of Decr 1785 In the Tenth year of the Commonwealth J Steptoe Cl.
