I am seeking information about the Cottrell family in West Central Alabama (Tuscaloosa County and surrounding) from the mid-1800's and earlier. My ggrandmother was Mary Ann Cottrell(dob 30Dec1866) married Henry Clay Snyder and gave birth to Velma, Bessie, Verdie, Verner, Theo and Frank Synder. She died on 23Sept1937 and is buried at Bethel Cemetery in Northport, Alabama. Her mother and father were Abner Cottrell and Joan???. It is Abner and Joan I am principally seeking information about. Thanks in advance to anyone with info!!
