Anyone know these early Cottrells

Can anyone identify the Cottrell's in this land document.

"7 Dec 1769 From Daniel Dean of Halifax to Henry Kerby of Halifax, 4 pds,
Wynns Creek, about 30 acres, bnd by Jones, William Terry, Henry Baker Kerby,
Hanover Henry Kearby. Signed Daniel (Q) Dean. Wit: Theo. Carter, William
(X) Cottrell, Mary Cottrell, William Bolling, Rec 16 Aug 1770, p60"

I know William Bolling and know of the Terry and Kerby family family

"Book 14 page 447
Recorded 22 June 1789 - Charles Powell and wife Sarah sold 150 acres on Licking creek to Asher Reeves for 100 pounds

Book 16 page 23
Dated 31 Jan 1792 - Asher Reeves sold to Anthony Powell - 100 acres for 72 pounds on Licking Creek and Deep Bottom Creek - Bounded by Wilies line, John Dickies line, Frances Pellies (Pettys?), and Robert Stanfield line - Signed by William Watkins, William Wood, and Dickie

Halifax COunty, Virginia, Deed Book 51, page 212 - 14 Jan. 1846 - Jesse Rives and Betsy his wife of Pittsylvania Co., Rhoda Rives, Betsy Rives, John Chainey and Nancy his wife, Paramon A. Wilkins and Susan his wife, Letty Rives, Daniel Rives, and Geo. D. Rives and Mary Ann his wife of Halifax COunty, to Robert Moore...72-1/4 acres of land...

Dated 1 June 1793 - Asher Reeves sold to Anthony Powell - 50 acres for 28 pounds on Licking Creek bounded by Elmer Wiley, John Wiley, Faney Turner, and Anthony Powell - Note: This is surely the same land Charles Powell sold to Asher Reeves in 1789 and Reeves sold it in two parts to Anthony for the same 100 pounds he paid for it. Asher Reeves signed Anthony's marriage consent as a witness. Could he be a relative?

Asher Reeves migrates eventually to Greene Co and his daughter marry Cottrell boys. They also are found in Eastern Tenn in the 1790. I am wondering if this could be an earlier indication that the Reeves and Cottrell families knew each other and a possible migration route
