Benjamin and Sarah were listed on th 1850 Census of Jackson Twp Pike County Ohio with the following children:

John bca. 1822 in Ohio

Elizabeth bca. 1829 in Ohio

Benjamin bca. 1831 in Ohio

James bca. 1834 in Ohio

Edward bca. 1839 in Ohio

Ephraim bca. 1841 in Ohio

William bca. 1844 in Ohio

Isaac bca. 1846 in Ohio

Martha bca. 1842 in Ohio

Adaline bca. 1846 in Ohio

Jane bca 1843 in Ohio

Benjamin along with other members of his family moved to Iowa and he also had a daughter by the Name of Adelphia who married Christian Halterman. At least two of Benjamin's sisters moved to Iowa with or before him.
