my grandfather was A.B.Cotton (Andrew Bryant) from Dale County, AL b. 7/4/1870. died 6/30/1928 buried at Coffee Springs, AL. His father Seth Avan joined CSA in 1863 Co D 53rd. Partisan Rangers. He lost an arm in the battle of Gettysburg, TN. have tried to locate names of brothers or Seth Avan's father's name or info regarding 53rd Partisan rangers but not found any info yet. Have recently begun my search. Any information would be appreciated.
