Researching John Cotton & Elizabeth Smith (d/o Ralph Smith), who had son Ralph Cotton b. c1690. Ralph m. Mary (?) & d. 1728, Stafford Co., VA. Ralph & Mary Cotton had son John Cotton (b. 1721, Stafford Co., VA; d. 1808, Nelson Co., KY), m. 1st Susannah Smith (d/o Nathaniel & Elizabeth Smith), m. 2nd Elizabeth (?). John had total of 21 children: John Jr., Mary "Polly," Ralph, Elizabeth, Sarah, Henry, Nathaniel, Susannah, Robert, Ann, Edmund, Temple, Barbara, Nancy, Elizabeth (again), Zachariah, Sarah (again), William, Robert, Frances, and Susannah (again); birthdates range from 1744-1781. Would love to correspond with anyone else researching this line.
