I am researching my Cotton ancestors. The oldest that I'm aware of is Thomas James Cotton, who was my gg-grandfather. Unfortunately, that is all I know.
Other than he married a Sara Youngblood.

Their children were;
Lawrence Franklin Cotton, born Edom, Texas on 3/14/1889, died 8/28/1961
Married, Minerva Lucindy Gilcrease born Edom, Texas, 2/20/1888 died 10/29/1965

Thomas J. Cotton, born Rule, Texas 1/11/1907

Dessie Cotton, born Rule, Texas 3/17/1909

Helen Aleatha Cotton, born Rule, Texas 4/9/1912

Walter R. Cotton, born Temple, Ok. 6/17/1915

Jasper Cotton, born Granite, Ok. 10/23/1917. Jasper died in 1919.

Hyman Pink Cotton, born Hyman, Texas 1/22/1927.
