The Overton Cotton I am looking for was a Dr. Overton (Obid) Cotton who was from TN. He married a Rebecca Williams, his son's name was Allen.
Do you know if your Overton Cotton was from TN?
I'm thinking we might have a link somewhere - as I have a letter sent to a family member that said a relative in CA had researched our Cotton family & traced us back to a Capt. Thomas Cotton born in 1715 in NC.
