I have a William M. Cotton born: about 1830 he was listed in the 1850 census as 20 years old in the Allen County, Kentucky. He is the son of Benjamin Cotton of Virginia and his first wife Ann Sanson married: 24 Nov. 1827. William had a brother Thomas and a sister and several other brothers and sisters by his fathers second wife.
