Found in The Complete Angler by Izaak Walton(1593-1683) and Charles Cotton(1630-87):
Charles Cotton - home- Beresford Hall, on the Dove, England
Cotton was a courtier, poet, man of the world, and soldier as well as angler.
He married about 1656- Isabella, dau of Sir Hutchinson, of Owthorp, by whom he had three sons and five daughters. His second wife, by whom he had no issue, was the widow of Winfield Cromwell, Earl of Ardglass.
Charles died, it is supposed of a fever, on Feb.13, 1687- three years after the death of his old friend Walton.
