RICHARD SPURR was born ca 1739 at Leesburg (Loudoun Co.) VA, the son of JAMES SPURR and his wife Mrs.Judith Williams. James was married in St.Paul's Parish Baltimore, MD 6 May 1735. Judith's maiden name has never been discovered. JAMES SPURR died between 1759/60. His will is dated 10 Oct.1759 and proved 12
Aug.1760 and can be found in Loudoun County, Va.Will Book A,page 29. RICHARD SPURR was a Captain in the Virginia Militia and was in Kentucky as early as 1785.
